Smart Kitchen Appliances

The Challenge
Designing smart kitchen appliances demanded balancing usability, durability, and visual appeal across diverse product categories and price points. Each product needed to remain manufacturable while meeting modern expectations of performance, quality, and brand differentiation.

Translating Complexity Into Visual Simplicity
Analogy Design has built a deep portfolio of work across smart kitchen appliances and everyday kitchen products. As a product design and industrial design agency, we have worked across accessories, cookware, appliances, and concept-led kitchen innovations. Our experience spans kitchen tools, kitchen gadgets, premium kitchen appliances, and energy efficient kitchen appliances. Each project reflects our approach to designing scalable, market-ready kitchen products.
Analogy Design has been setting a new direction for smart kitchen appliances and automated home cooking.
Analogy Design addressed the challenges in the kitchen space through industrial design and product design systems tailored for kitchen appliances.
The team focused on form factor optimisation, component architecture, and material strategy to support scalable manufacturing. Technical decisions were guided by ergonomics, heat resistance, durability, and compatibility with mass production processes. Analogy Design, founded by its design-led team, has been developing kitchen products and appliances across multiple categories since 2017. A wide-ranging exploration of how everyday kitchen products are designed, engineered, and differentiated. Our work in the kitchen sector includes internally developed concept projects and client collaborations across kitchen accessories, spatulas, cookware, frying pans, nonstick pans, and small kitchen appliances. These projects allowed us to explore innovation beyond briefs, testing new forms, materials, and usability principles. Each concept was designed with a clear understanding of real-world cooking and food preparation needs.Alongside accessories and cookware, our portfolio extends into drinkware and appliance categories. We designed vacuum flasks for brands like EIT and developed kitchen appliance concepts including food processors, blenders, juicers, and mixers for Bajaj. Manufacturing considerations were strengthened through collaboration with Reshaba, a Kochi-based factory managing production for large global brands, enabling designs that align with commercial kitchen appliance standards and mass-market requirements.

The problem
Cost Cutting That Cheapens The Product
Many kitchen appliances focus on reducing costs by relying heavily on basic bakelite components. This approach limits design flexibility, compromises thermal performance, and weakens long-term product perception.

Be guided through the whole process, from first concept through to market-ready product with success.

Products That Feel Fragile And Forgettable
Poor durability, uninspired CMF choices, and low material quality make products feel disposable rather than dependable. Users quickly lose trust when appliances lack a premium look and solid build.

No Brand Identity Or Differentiation
Without a strong design language, products fail to stand out in a crowded smart kitchen market. When everything looks the same, brand recall drops and differentiation disappears.

A scalable, durable, and design-led approach to smart kitchen appliances built for performance, longevity & brand distinction.
Analogy Design applies industrial design, product design, and product development to create kitchen products that balance engineering rigor with visual clarity.
Our approach begins with defining product architecture that supports manufacturing, component reuse, and cost control without sacrificing quality. Material selection, CMF strategy, and structural detailing are engineered to withstand daily cooking conditions. Every decision is tested against durability, ergonomics, and long-term usability.Through detailed CAD modeling, prototyping, and product visualisation, we refine proportions, interfaces, and finishes to elevate perceived value. This process ensures kitchen appliances feel premium, reliable, and differentiated across both consumer and commercial environments.
