The Challenge
Designing air coolers and ceiling fans that deliver performance while blending seamlessly into modern Indian interiors was the primary challenge. Bulky forms, cost-heavy tooling, and poor design coherence limited scalability and visual appeal.

Rethinking Cooling Appliance Architecture
We tackled the challenge through innovative product architecture and ergonomic design thinking. For air coolers, the team moved away from conventional dual-blower layouts and developed compact motor configurations that improved space efficiency. For ceiling fans, a modular architecture enabled multiple variants using shared components, reducing material usage and tooling complexity.
Analogy Design developed the air cooler and ceiling fan range as part of a focused home appliances design project in 2023.
A system-led approach replaced fragmented product styling with design coherence.
The air coolers were shaped around compact proportions, clean lines, and a neutral color palette to suit contemporary interiors. Attention was given to surface refinement, structural integrity, and cooling efficiency to ensure the products felt reliable and refined. Matte finishes and balanced proportions helped the air coolers move beyond purely functional appliances into lifestyle-friendly cooling solutions. For the ceiling fans, the design story centered on modular components and platform-based design. A single core body supported three configurations, basic fan, ambient lighting, and ambient plus night lighting. This approach enabled design scalability, material optimization and a seamless visual language across the entire fan lineup.

The problem
Interior Mismatch Anxiety
Most cooling appliances feel visually disconnected from Indian interiors. Homes evolve, but fans and air coolers often stay stuck in outdated forms that disrupt interior harmony.

Bulky Visual Clutter
Fans with integrated lights tend to look oversized and heavy. Instead of adding value, they dominate the ceiling and make living spaces feel crowded.

Outdated Cooler Forms
Air coolers are commonly large, boxy, and difficult to place. Old feature sets and dated styling make them feel like compromises rather than intentional home essentials.

A cohesive, modular home appliance range designed to feel lighter, adaptable, and visually balanced across Indian living spaces.
Analogy Design unified form, function, and scalability into a single design direction.
The ceiling fan range was built around a shared core, allowing lighting features to be added or removed without changing the overall form. This kept proportions clean while enabling multiple variants for different needs. Each version retained a consistent visual identity, ensuring design coherence across the lineup. For air coolers, the focus shifted to reducing visual and physical bulk. Streamlined silhouettes, compact layouts, and updated feature integration helped transform the air cooler into a contemporary cooling appliance. The result was a product that fits naturally into modern homes without demanding extra space or visual attention.
