The Challenge
Breaking into India’s home appliances market meant standing out in a space crowded with white labelling and look alike products lacking identity. Most appliance brands focused on features and pricing, leaving product design, brand identity, and user experience behind.

From White Labelling To Design Led Manufacturing
Analogy approached this as a full product design and consumer product development challenge. The focus was on hardware design, engineering design, and CAD analysis that respected manufacturing constraints while elevating form and usability. By aligning product strategy with appliance manufacturing realities, we ensured every design decision supported cost efficiency, tooling feasibility, and design for assembly.
When Abhinav, Founder of Nester, approached Analogy Design with the idea of rethinking everyday kitchen appliances, we knew it was a chance to create something meaningful for Indian households.
A new standard for modern Indian kitchens was about to be set.
The idea was to create a design led kitchenware brand for Nester from the ground up. Instead of adapting existing OEM products, we studied internal components, supply chain limitations, and mass production constraints early. This inside out understanding allowed the product design to evolve alongside manufacturing requirements, not against them. Through close vendor collaboration, industrial CAD refinement, and iterative product engineering, we simplified parts without sacrificing form.Every decision balanced design thinking with real world assembly lines, injection molding constraints, and manufacturing cost reduction. The result was a cohesive appliance family that feels calm, premium, and purpose built for the modern Indian kitchen.

The problem
Invisible Brand Presence
In a crowded Indian appliances market, many products look interchangeable. Without clear product differentiation, new brands struggle to be remembered or trusted.

Design Cost Tradeoffs
Visual upgrades often increase part count, tooling complexity, and assembly time. This makes design differentiation feel risky for cost sensitive appliance manufacturing.

Future Product Fragmentation
Without a scalable design language, brands risk inconsistent products across categories. This weakens identity and complicates future consumer product development.

A design to manufacturing approach that balanced visual identity, assembly efficiency, and long term scalability without inflating cost or complexity.
Analogy Design led the project through end to end product design, aligning product strategy with manufacturing realities from day one.
The solution began by studying internal layouts, component reuse opportunities, and vendor capabilities. By refining CAD design and industrial CAD structures early, we reduced unnecessary parts while preserving clean forms. Design for assembly principles helped streamline build steps and improve consistency across products. At the brand level, we developed a unified design system that could scale across future kitchenware and home appliances. This ensured Nester’s products shared a recognisable visual language while remaining adaptable to new categories, tooling requirements, and appliance manufacturing needs.

Designing A Brand Built To Scale
Built with growth, consistency, and efficiency in mind.
From the first product, Nester was engineered as a growing appliance brand, not a one off launch. Each decision considered future variants, shared components, and evolving consumer expectations. This approach allowed manufacturing cost reduction without compromising build quality or visual clarity. With strong vendor collaboration and clear product execution, the brand is positioned to expand confidently across the Indian kitchen ecosystem.Nester now stands as a modern, design driven example of how consumer goods can balance identity, efficiency, and scale.

“Working with analogy never felt like working with a vendor. It felt like working with a partner. From day one there was a comfort level, and both teams learned along the way. The products came out fantastic, the delivery was beautiful, and customers are absolutely loving them. The most delightful moment was receiving the first CMF (Color, Material, Finish) renders, as that was when the product came alive.”
